Beauty Reviews was originally started in 1998 by Lisa Batty, and was then known as ‘marshmallow’ – over the years Lisa built a small network of reviewers and together we have reviewed several hundred beauty and skincare products, with most reviews still available on the site today.
The Beauty Reviews website had to take a back-seat for a while for many personal reasons, not least when Lisa’s baby arrived! And for a while, with such an upturn in social media influencers, we found it difficult to see where Beauty Reviews could fit…
In 2023 we came back to the site’s original format – Beauty Reviews was created from a love of writing and a love of products, and that is what we have decided to continue as it makes us happy 🙂
We like to take a positive approach to all our reviews even if we dislike a product! We believe strongly in supporting each other, our followers, brands and product manufacturers with positivity and kindness.
