I was very excited to try Wonderglow from Charlotte Tilbury – I almost always use a primer and this one has slight shimmer, too!
The texture is good, it glides onto the skin well and leaves a smooth(ish) feel to the skin – it’s not the smoothest finish I’ve found from a primer, but it was good. The dewy, illuminosity it gave to the skin was excellent – it has just the right amount of glow to give you a healthy look.
Under foundation though, I was disappointed – my usual foundation did not sit well on top of Wonderglow and my skin started feeling dry part way through the day. It was as though Wonderglow created a barrier between my foundation and skin – my foundation slid into lines and creases, it didn’t feel comfortable. Perhaps it needs a Charlotte Tilbury foundation to work at its best?
Personally I wouldn’t purchase this again as I wear foundation every day – if I didn’t the Wonderglow does give a good healthy skin look and I would consider it as part of my make-up kit.
